Welcome Tuvalu
We're glad to welcome the Tuvalu Ministry of Heatlh to the family of mSupply users.
Ujwal has just finished a two week installation visit. mSupply is being used for both the supply from the central store and dispensing from Tuvalu's main hospital pharmacy. We'll have some photos shortly.
Our remote support gets a boost with Teamviewer
We've just spent Euro 1000 on a license for Teamviewer, so we're a bit poorer, but hopefully our clients will get a richer support experience.
We're mighty impressed with Teamviewer. It allows our clients to download a small application (about 2Mb). They then give us a password, and we can control your screen on an ad hoc basis, helping you as needed. Hope you like it.
(By the way, Teamviewer is very safe - we only get to control your computer for one session, and can't do it again in the future without your permission).
Welcome CHAZ
We're pleased to welcome the Churches Health Association of Zambia as a client. They've been using a single user version of mSupply for more than a year, and have just upgraded to a system that allows 4 concurrent users.

Comparing available software in Africa
In 2008 the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network commissioned Ron Wehrens to write a report on available software for pharmaceutical inventory control and accounting.
You can read more on their web site here or directly download the report from this link
Do cotact us if you want to discuss any of the issues the report raises.
Live in Kiribati
We're very pleased to finally install mSupply in Kiribati.
We're running 2 virtual stores in mSupply to handle the medical/non-drug store as one, and the dispensary as another location.
The people of Kiribati are great- where else in the world can you sit on a stranger's knee when you've run out of seats on the bus?
Thanks to the WHO for sponsoring this project.
mSupply turns 2 (or is that 10?)
We've just released version two of mSupply. It has been in use at our busiest multi-user sites since September 2007, so has had lots of testing.
Version two is a free upgrade for all users.
To celebrate 10 years since mSupply was first installed, we're making a special offer for anyone who bothers to read our news pages: Any new purchases in June or July 2008 get one year of free support as part of the price. Note that you actually need to pay us within this time frame, not just place an order.
We're very grateful for the support of so many people over the years. We look forward to offering you another special offer for our 20th year anniversary in 2018 ;-)
Version 2 beta 2 released
We've just uploaded version 2 beta 2.
We're confident this version can be used in production environments. it is already in use at three of our largest sites doing hundreds of thousands of transaction lines per year.
The main changes from beta 1 are a lot of bug fixes, a couple of new reports, and some significant speed improvements when viewing item lists. See the version history page for a complete list.
version 2 beta coming
Version 2 beta 1 was released to the public on 5th Feb 2008.
We now have version 2 beta 2 installed in 2 client/server sites, and will have a public release in early April.
beta 2 contains over 40 bug fixes and minor improvements. We hope that this will be the last beta release, and that a final release will be available by early May 2008.
mSupply in Nigeria expanded to six new states
In 2005 a DFID funded project in Ekiti state of Nigeria installed mSupply software. They were so pleased with the results that in 2007 they decided to install mSupply in six other states as well.
Ujwal made a training and installation visit in November 2007.
(And no, it wasn’t a scam, and yes they did pay us ;-) )
No news is good news....
We've just installed version 2 at two sites in the Kingdom of Tonga. (Malo aupito!). Meanwhile we're hard at work (or at least Msr Monclar is) on getting the French translation done (They thought they could get by without it in Tonga).
Email us if you'd like a version 2 preview release (only to be used on data files you don't mind throwing away).
All going well we'll have [drum roll] a version 2 release some time in November.
